Feng Dan

Professor, doctoral supervisor and associate dean of School of Computer Science and Technology. In 1991, she was graduated from Computer Science Department, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, majoring in Computer and Application Major and won the bachelor’s degree in engineering. In 1994, she graduated from Computer Organization and System Architecture of Computer Science Department, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and won the master’s degree in Engineering. After that, she was a doctor majoring in computer system architecture in Computer Science Department, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and had won PhD in Engineering. Since 1997, she has been engaged in scientific research and teaching in the Computer Science Department, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. One after another, she has been engaged in researches on computer system architecture, computer network, parallel processing, fault-tolerance theory, disk array architecture and computer outer storage system etc. She had published more than 20 concerned academic papers on important academic publications as well as on academic conferences both at home and abroad. She took part in researches funded by National Natural Science Point Foundation and defense-related research projects etc. and had won a forth price of National Natural Science (third ranking), and a National Award for Technological Invention (second ranking), and two provincial first prizes. In 2000, she was appraised as the outstanding youth science and technology worker of Hubei Province and won the titles like Excellent Female Worker of Wuhan. Her doctoral dissertation was appraised as the national excellent doctoral dissertation in 2001 by National Academic Degrees Committee and the Ministry of Education.
